Refreshingly different!

Ring could be a refreshingly completely different entry within the fantasy sweepstakes with Lustbader breaking far from the stereotyped battle between a bunch of innocents and an imprisoned "Dark One" aided by a band of apostates. For one, the size of this series is galactic. The drama is played out on one planet, however the key protagonists return from {different|totally completely different|completely different} star systems and in reality are ethnically terribly different. The Kundalan, unable to resist the superior may of the V'ornn, are driven to questioning the recent gods and traditions of Kundala, that kept them prosperous and happy, nevertheless were of no avail within the face of the V'ornn assault. Into this long dark night of the Kundalan soul comes a prophesied savior who is also ready to restore the balance. that's the vacant bones of the plot; but Lustbader brings variety of innovations that build this story special. First, the globe of Kundala and therefore the lifestyles of Kundalan and V'ornn are alright depicted, most in order that the reader will simply image the scenes. Second, to keep with a number of his earlier writings, Lustbader brings an oversized dollop of mysticism to Ring.
